USB Debugging Off ... Maybe?
« on: January 20, 2017, 09:02:30 AM »
Hey All,

For no apparent reason, I can no longer connect to Alpha 2 via USB to debug, I also no longer see Alpha 2 folder in "My Computer".  I was using Vysor one moment and the next moment it stopped working.  Alpha 2 is still running Chat Partner and I can still connect to him via Wifi with my phone / pc programming, but not through USB.  Is his USB port possibly damaged?  Is it possible that the USB debugging turned off on its own?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!
Alan

Crap, I found the problem, my Alpha 2 fell on his head and pushed the USB further into Alpha.

That's not good, although it's good news that he's still working. Sadly the usb port is part of the main board. It might be that the whole board has moved but I doubt it to be honest. The main board is held with 4 screws and you can get to them by unclipping the coloured part on alphas head. You lift the back first over the usb port, then the front over the camera and it comes off.

I've attached a photo, you can see the usb cable at the back.
